I was once thinking that death would set us free. It was the easiest way to get rid all of your pain.
Itu dulu mikirnya begitu; makanya kalimat di atas pakai past tense. Sekarang beda.
Now, I understand perfectly that forgiving will set you free. It will bring you peace.
Death might be the easiest way. It will set you free (may be yes, may be no. I don’t know. I decided to stay alive years ago).
But forgiving will not only set you free. It will give you peace, lessen your enemies, bring back your life to happy state.
“But, how can you be so sure? How do you know?”
Nothing better than the experiences of a prisoner who is now freed.
